A sense of humor, the beginner’s mindset, and dedication to the journey are key components for developing a yoga practice.  In my group classes, I offer students a fun and safe environment where they can learn physical practice (asana) and challenge themselves in a mindful way. Inspired by the Iyengar and Ashtanga lineages and eternally grateful for the guidance of my own teachers (past and present), I consider myself blessed to experience and share the yoga traditions to create positive social experiences by unlocking a student’s true potential and creative spirit.

Class description

yoga Basics & Beyond

This series is perfect for those students looking to explore the physical practice through asana (postures) and for any yogi seeking to understand the alignment-based principles of the asanas for a more therapeutic and systematic approach to practice. This level provides a solid foundation of the basics of hatha yoga, including basic forms of postures, an introduction to yogic philosophy, meditation, and breath work. As your confidence and knowledge base grows so will your understanding of how to take your practice to the next level!

Slow flow

This series blends meaningful themes with body-appropriate alignment techniques, intelligent sequences, and the breath. Step-by-step you will build a firm foundation, finding and using the breath to explore the relationship of the asanas (postures) in the body. This playful and simplistic approach serves the body well.

Restore

Through the practices of yoga, relaxation, meditation, and the synchronization of the body and mind we grow more open and relaxed. Restorative yoga typically involves only a handful of asanas (postures), supported by props that allow you to completely relax, release and restore. With some gentle movement to start, restorative asanas are held for longer periods of time to promote relaxation. As our own energy reserve expands within us, we naturally grow more boundless and bright.
